NAVJOT SINGH SIDHU SURRENDERS , JUDGE STARTS PROCESS TO SEND HIM TO JAIL

New Delhi (The Quiver) : On Friday , Former  Punjab Congress Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu surrendered before Patiala Court after the Supreme court found him guilty in 1988 road rage case and sentenced him to one year rigorous imprisonment .

As per the latest reports, he will be lodged in Patiala Jail. Earlier today, Sidhu had appealed the top court to grant him more time for surrendering citing medical conditions. But his counsel A M Singhvi was unsuccessful in making an urgent mention for relief before CJI N V Ramana.

” He (Navjot Singh Sidhu) has surrendered himself before Chief Judicial Magistrate. He is under judicial custody . Medical examination and other legal procedures will be adopted “, said Surinder Dalla, media advisor to Sidhu.
