BAMCEF ANNOUNCES BHARAT BANDH ON MAY 25
(The Quiver) : All India Backward and Minority Communities Employees Federation (BAMCEF) has announced Bharat Bandh on May 25. The federation will be protesting against the centre for not conducting a caste-based census for the other Backward Classes(OBC).
BAMCEF is supported by National Parivartan Morcha, Bharat Mukti Morcha, Bahujan Kranti Morcha and all its affiliated organisations for Bharat Bandh.
According to the Bhartiya Yuva Morcha, some of the demands raised are:
No EVMs in elections
a caste-based census
Reservations for SC/ST/OBC in the private sector
Guaranteed MSP to farmers
No NRC/CAA/NPR implementation
Resumption of the old pension scheme
Separate electorates in OBC reservation in Panchayat elections in Odisha and Madhya Pradesh
Protection to tribal people
Making vaccination optional
Protection against labour laws that were secretly made against workers during the Covid-19 lockdown.
