GARUDA – THE FIRST LUXURIOUS HOUSEBOAT OF ODISHA

Bhubaneswar (The Quiver) : For the First time luxury houseboat ‘Garuda’ is launched in Chilika of Odisha . Now visitors can experience living in a house on waters. Houseboats will be available for visitors from the month of June after CM Naveen Pattanaik inaugurates them. Soon after the inauguration bookings will be started.

Six families can stay at a time inside a houseboat. Packages may vary from Rs 8000 to Rs 30,000 for overnight stay along with full board meals, activities and cruising covering different islands in Chilika. The houseboat has two floors housing two suite rooms and four Premium Rooms, Bar and Restaurant are in the houseboat. Open Air Lobby in upper deck for Meetings/Conferences. An approximate  investment of Rs 3 crores is done on this project.

The houseboats are indigenously designed, developed and manufactured in Barkul, Odisha. The maintenance charge of houseboats are given to Vikash Eco resorts.
