NEPAL PLANE CRASH : NO SURVIVOR LEFT, 4 INDIANS IDENTIFIED

(The Quiver) : On Monday , the missing aircraft of Nepal ,Tara Air Plane has  met with an accident in a mountainous region of the country and crashed . The plane is suspected to have crashed due to bad weather of Nepal.

No survivors have been found at the crash site in Nepal. The plane was reportedly carrying 22 people, including the crew.There were four Indians, reportedly from Mumbai, two Germans, and 13 Nepali passengers and a three-member Nepali crew.

“Fourteen bodies have been recovered so far, search continues for the remaining. The weather is very bad but we were able to take a team to the crash site. No other flight has been possible,” civil aviation authority spokesman Deo Chandra Lal Karn told news agency AFP.

The Army Spokesman said, “The search and rescue efforts had resumed on Monday morning, hours after a halt due to challenges faced by the teams. A team of 15 Nepali Army soldiers has been dropped near the crash site to retrieve the bodies on Monday. The crash site lies at an elevation of about 14,500 feet while the team has been dropped at 11,000 meters height”.

As per the latest reports ,The airline issued the list of passengers which identified four Indians as Ashok Kumar Tripathy, his wife Vaibhavi Bandekar (Tripathy) and their children Dhanush and Ritika. The family was based in Thane city near Mumbai.

The turboprop Twin Otter 9N-AET plane operated by Tara Air had lost contact minutes after it took off from the tourist city of Pokhara around 10 am on Sunday. The plane was flying from the city of Pokhara to Jomsom, a popular tourist town in central Nepal.
