KK WILL RECEIVE GUN SALUTE : CM MAMTA BANERJEE
Kolkata (The Quiver) : KK’s concert at Kolkata Nazrul Mancha was his last performance cater for his beloved audience . Even KK would not have ever imagined this concert would be his last singing. Shocking unexpected death of KK has left the entire country in tears. Not only the Bollywood industry but everyone is mourning on the loss of their favourite singer.
KK has song had created magical world for the teens of late 1990’s. His songs were the reason for remembering 1990’s. KK has given music lovers some of the most iconic songs in the last three decades. He was known for his versatile discography. Of course, his romantic ballads topped the charts. KK did playback singing for numerous Bollywood movies and some of the songs remain a favourite among music lovers till date.
The versatile singer sang over 700 songs and 3500 jingles in his iconic singing career spans three decades . His popular songs included “Tadap Tadap” from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam(1999), the Tamil song “Apadi Podu”, ” Dola Re Dola” from Devdas (2002), “Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai” from Woh Lamhe… (2006), “Aankhon Mein Teri” from Om Shanti Omm(2007), “Khuda Jane” from Bachna Ae Haseeno(2008), “Piya Aaye Na” from Aashiqui 2 (2013), “Mat Aazma Re” from Murder 3 (2013), “India Wale” from Happy New year r (2014) and “Tu Jo Mila” from Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), among others. He has received six Filmfare awards nominations, and a Filmfare awards South.
Today the singer’s family reached Kolkata where his autopsy will be done. KK is survived by his wife Jyothi and two children, Nakul Krishna Kunnath, and a daughter, Tamara Kunnath. KK married Jyothi in 1991. They were childhood sweethearts.
KK’s Love Life
In an episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, KK had revealed that he is married to his childhood love. He had revealed on the show that in order to marry his then-girlfriend, he took up a sales job as he was unemployed. KK worked at it for three months and then went on to pursue his dream of becoming a singer. On the show, KK also revealed that he has only dated one woman his entire life, Jyothy. The duo tied the knot in 1991. KK got his first big break in music in 1994.
KK’s Autopsy
The autopsy will be conducted at SSKM Hospital in Kolkata to ascertain the cause of death. Later the singer’s body will be taken to Mumbai after the autopsy is completed. According to reports, police will also check the CCTV footage at the Grand Hotel and talk to the staff and the event organisers.
As reported by hospital authorities,KK fell ill after his performance at Kolkata’s Nazrul Mancha. He reportedly suffered a heart attack. The playback singer collapsed after a concert in Kolkata and was rushed to a private hospital in the city. He was “brought dead” to Kolkata’s CMRI Hospital around 10 pm, hospital authorities told to media .
West Bengal CM, Mamata Banerjee reveals that gun salute will be given to KK. It is announced that the gun salute will be given in Rabindra Sadan as the postmortem is still going on. The family has a 5.15 pm flight so we will pay respect there.
