VIOLENCE EXPLODES IN KANPUR : MUSLIMS CLASH WITH COPS

(The Quiver) : On Friday, Violence erupted in Kanpur city of Uttar Pradesh following the clash between members of the minority community and the police. As reported, the violence broke out in the Becongunj area near Yatimkhana after police baton-charged some locals. 

Hundreds of people cameto the streets in protest aginst this action of police. Muslims closed shops and taken out a procession over an alleged insult to Prophet Mohammad.

At latest , the situation is known to have brought under control.
