Steve Smith Sells His Luxurious Sydney Mansion

(The Quiver): Australian cricketer Steve Smith has sold his massive Vaucluse mansion for $12.38 million (Rs 67 crore INR) at auction . He further made an astounding Rs 30 crore profit.Smith gained a double profit on the sale of the home, which they had previously purchased for AUS$6.6m (about Rs 35 Cr) and sold for AUS$12.38 (Rs 67 Cr INR).

The 59 kings Road Vancluse went over a 30-minute boardroom auction at agency Raine and Horne’s Double Bay offices. The auction started at the opening bid of $ 11.5 million by auctioneer Damien Cooley.

Cooley is well known for his work in conducting the winning auctions five times on “The Block.”

The 766 square meter property includes amazing facilities like a heated pool, fireplace, and cinema in addition to harbor views. Smith and his wife Dani Willis are said to have spent at least $560,000 on renovations, so the bidding may have begun at a premium price.

The residence has a home theatre, a wine cellar, luxurious bathroom, a double garage, and a huge bedroom that takes up nearly the entire second floor and has a roomy dressing room and a covered balcony. The home has all of the most recent technological features, such as heated floors, remote-controlled doors, and external cameras.

“Bidding opened with an offer of $11.5 million(NZD) and soon two would-be buyers pushed the sale price beyond the $12m mark,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted.

Steve Smith is currently involved in the Test series against Sri-Lanka and served as temporary skipper for Australia last in an Ashes match.
