Aishwary Tomar wins Gold in ISSF Shooting World Cup 2022

(The Quiver): Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar of India won the men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions event and the gold medal at the ISSF Shooting World Cup on Saturday in Changwon. He then defeated Zalan Peklar of Hungary 16โ€“12 for the podium finish. With a score of 593, he also came in first place in the qualification round.
In the ranking round, Tomar has shot perfect rounds in the first two Kneeling and Prone positions and had lost all seven of his points in the final standing position. In the final competition, Chain Singh, another Indian, came in seventh.


The seasoned Istvan, also from Hungary, bagged the bronze in the event.
“GOLD for India. Tokyo Olympian Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar wins gold at the @ISSF_Shooting 2022 World Cup,Chagwon,” Sports Authority of India (SAI) tweeted.


The Indian duo of Mehuli Ghosh and Tushar Mane Shahu also won gold on Wednesday after defeated Hungary’s Eszter Meszaros and Istvan Peni in the finals of 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team.
Shiva Narwal and Palak, on the other hand, won a bronze medal in the Mixed Team 10m Air Pistol division. They defeated Irina Loktionova and Valeriy Rakhimzhan of Kazakhstan to win the gold medal.
