England Midfielder Lingard joins Nottingham Forest

(The Quiver) : The English mid-fielder Jesse Lingard was signed by Nottingham Forest on a free transfer, the club said on Thursday. He ended his 22-year association with the Manchester United during the off-season. Since 1999, he was the 11th member signed by the promoted club as it begins to prepare for his first season with the franchise.

Before permanently moving to the London club, the 29-year-old spent the second-half with the West Ham on Loan in 2020-21 season. He went on to score nine goals in 16 games.

Dean Henderson, Taiwo Awoniyi, Brandon Aguilera, Neco Williams, Giulian Biancone, Wayne Hennessey, Moussa Niakhate, and Omar Richards have also been enlisted.

The franchise also made a signing of Harry Toffolo and mid-fielder Lewis O’Brien during the transfer window. Jersey No.10 will be worn by Lingard in the Premier League.
