Indian Football Season starts with Durand Cup from August 16

Indian Football Domestic season will soon starts its proceedings as the nation is all set to behold the 131st edition of Durand Cup starting from August 16th.

 The domestic season of 2022–2023 will be lengthier than the season before it. In August, the Durand Cup marks the start of it. Following it will come the Indian Super League (ISL).

The prolonged format of the 2022–23 season is being viewed as a welcome shift from the very ad hoc 2021–22 football calendar.

It will begin with a Kolkata derby between East Bengal Club and ATK Mohan Bagan at the Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium) in Kolkata.

The 131st edition of the Durand Cup will also be held in the Kishore Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata, the Naihati Stadium in the North 24-Parganas neighborhood of West Bengal, the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati, and the Khuman Lampak Stadium in Imphal.
