Meg Lanning claims pole position in T20I Rankings

(The Quiver) : After overtaken her teammate Beth Mooney, Australia Captain Meg Lanning becomes the new No 1 T20I batter in ICC rankings which released on Tuesday.

During her stellar performance in the tri-series against Pakistan and Ireland, She piped back Mooney to reclaim the pole position in the rankings. She finished the series as the top run getter in the tri-series with 113 runs.

Indian duo of Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma are No 4 and 5 spot respectively. New Zealand’s Sophia Devine remain static at No.3.

In the all-rounder charts, Ashleigh Gardener jumped three places to seventh spot.

Meanwhile, Despite a disappointing loss against England, the South African trio of Tazmin Brits (equal 24th), Anne Bosch (21st), and Laura Wolvaardt (14th) advanced significantly on the list for hitters.

After finishing joint leading wicket-taker for the series, England pacer Katherine Brunt serge to third place in ICC bowlers rankings.
