Savitri Jindal Becomes New Richest Women In Asia

(The Quiver): On Friday, Asia has found its richest women in the name of Savitri Jindal. She leapfrogged Yang Huiyan in the Bloomberg Billionaire Index. After the property crisis of China hammers the nation developers which includes her Country Garden Holdings Co, Yang was out of the race of being the richest women.

She possesses a whopping $11.3 billion thanks to her Jindal group, which is active in sectors including metallurgy and electricity generation.

It is considered to be a catastrophic fall for Yang who in 2005 become one of the youngest billionaires on the earth after inheriting her father’s share of the real estate company.

Yang had more than half fortune to $11 billion coming this year but a dip in her Country garden which is China’s largest property saw her decline.

She remain the richest women for last five years because of rapid growth in sectors of China.

Savitri Jindal, who is born in Tinsukia, Assam, in 1950, has a history in politics in addition to business. OP Jindal served as a minister in the Haryana government and a representative for the Hisar district in the Haryana Vidhan Sabha.

Shortly after her husband, the company’s founder OP Jindal, died in a helicopter accident in 2005, she was appointed chairwoman of the Jindal Group. The corporation also works in cement, energy, and infrastructure. It is India’s third-largest steel producer.

At the start of Covid Pandemic in April 2020, Jindal’s net worth saw a dip of $3.2 billion. The net worth saw a upsurge of $15.6 million in April 2022. The reason of instability was Russia and Ukraine war.

Savitri Jindal is currently the richest women of India and 10th richest person in the country of 1.4 billion.
