After missing the United pre-seasons tour in Thailand and Australia due to family reasons, the 37-year old Portuguese was seen training with his new boss Erik ten Hag.

He expressed his gratitude in his social media with a picture of him saying, “Happy to be back”.

He played 45 minutes against the La liga team, his first game back with the team since their 4-0 loss at Brighton the previous campaign.
