India Records Its First Death of Monkeypox In Kerala

(The Quiver): Recently making his way to India from UAE, A 22-year old man from Kerala died due to tested positive for Monkeypox on July 30th.

He had been tested positive for Monkeypox while being at United Arab Emirates since July 19.

With no other illness or health problems, the youngster who had just returned from the United Arab Emirates was admitted on July 27 after developing a fever on July 26 while he was with his family. He was placed on a ventilator on July 28. said Health Minister Veena George.

Symptoms which last for four days,Fever, redness, and enlarged lymph nodes are the classic symptoms of Monkeypox, which can also cause other health issues.

The District Surveillance Officer (DSO) should be immediately informed and suspected and probable cases of Monkeypox are to be treated separately and in isolation.

Monkeypox is a rare but potentially dangerous viral virus that was first identified in a case in the Kollam region of south Kerala on July 14.
