Former Indian Cricketer Named As Nepal Head Coach

(The Quiver): Former Indian All-rounder Manoj Prabhakar has been handed over the coaching duties of Nepal Cricket Team. He replaced Pudubu Dassanayake as the head coach who stepped down in July.

The 59-year old has represented India in 39 tests and 159 ODIs from a period of 1984 to 1996. He has coached the Ranji teams of Delhi, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh in the past.

“Considering Nepal’s enthusiasm in cricket, as well as their talent and skill level, I’m really looking forward to working with the Nepal cricket team to transform them into a force to be reckoned with in the game,” he said.

He was appointed as Afghanistan bowling coach in 2015.
