Taiwo Awoniyi stars in Nottingham Forest win over West Ham

(The Quiver): On Sunday, After Taiwo Awoniyi’s brilliance on the field, Nottingham Forest registered a 1-0 win over West Ham. In the first half, the 25-year-old Nigerian scored the first goal for the forest since which ensured Forests to win their first Premier league game after 23 years.

In the second half of the match, Dean Henderson saved a penalty kick of Declan Rice.

The Hammers also had a goal controversially overturned in the first half and saw Pablo Fornals and Said Benrahma hit the underside of the crossbar twice more after the interval for Forest.

In stark contrast to a 2-0 loss to Manchester City last weekend, West Ham has already lost both of its first two games of the season.

A full capacity crowd of 30,000 was cheering for the home side as they marked their perfect homecoming with a win on Sunday.
