Alarming Signs for 4 districts in Odisha

This might result in today’s state-wide rainfall ranging from extremely heavy to severe. Furthermore, gusts of 50 to 60 km/h with a high speed of 70 km/h are expected along the coast.

Within the next 24 hours, the state is likely to experience heavy rain. Four districts have received a red warning for this, 12 districts have received an orange warning, and 8 districts have received a yellow warning. Umashankar Das, a scientist with the Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Center, provided this information today. It is forbidden for fishermen to go into the water.

Indian Meteorological Department has issued red alert signal for the state today, the Special Relief Commissioner has asked all District Magistrates to be alert and take necessary steps.

Under the influence of low pressure, extremely heavy to very heavy rain is anticipated in the districts of Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Balasore, and Mayurbhanj. This district has been given a red warning as a result.

Similar to that, 12 districts have received an orange alert. These districts are Sambalpur, Sonpur, Boudh, Balangir, and Jajpur, as well as Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Deogarh, and Sundergarh.

In addition, the meteorological department has issued a yellow alert owing to heavy rain in Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Kalahandi, Nayagarh, Khurda, and Puri.

Tomorrow, Chhattisgarh is under a red alert from the department.
