Ravindra Jadeja ruled out of Asia Cup due to injury
(The Quiver): After sustaining a right knee injury, Indian allrounder-Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of Asia Cup 2022.
According to sources, BCCI have named Axar Patel as Jadeja’s replacement for the remainder of Asia Cup 2022, Axar was once listed as a squad standby and would shortly join the group.
Currently, Jadeja is under the supervision of the BCCI medical team.
Jadeja shared the top score against Pakistan with a knock of 35 despite not taking a wicket. Jadeja took one wicket in the game against Hong Kong but did not get chance to bat.
India will play either Pakistan or Hong Kong in their opening encounter of Super 4 stage match on September 4th
