Australia lead the series 1-0 after record win at Mohali

(The Quiver): On Tuesday, Australia registered a stunning win by beating India by 4 wickets. They gone to record their highest chase vs India in T20 internationals.

After send in to bat by Australia, India made a brisk start as they lost Rohit and Virat very early in the powerplay. KL Rahul (55) and Surya Kumar Yadav’s (45) counterattacking stroke play increased the run flow in the innings till the 14th over when Hardik Pandya’s blistering knock of 71 took India to an imposing 208-6.

Nathan Ellis finished with excellent figures of (3-30)

In the chase, Australia openers started strongly with the bat as the ball was doing nothing off the pitch for the Indian seamers. Cameron Green scored eight fours and sixes in addition to reaching his first T20I fifty in 26 balls. After Green left, Matthew Wade (45) and Tim David (18) saw to it that Australia easily cruised home 211-6 as India dropped three catches in the first game of the series.

Cameron Green was adjusted Man of the Match for his all round performance.
