Female Astronaut from this Country set to go into Space in 2023

(The Quiver): In 2023, With a new astronaut Program has been established by Saudi Arabia, it will see their first mission carrying a Saudi woman astronaut which is planned for 2023. The Program, which is a component of the Kingdom’s ambitious Vision 2030, will see a woman astronaut launch into space alongside male astronauts.

According to sources, In the upcoming months, the Arab nation also intends to unveil few more details about its National Space Strategy, which will outline space activities and programs intended to benefit humanity from space.

“A Saudi woman will be one of the astronauts, marking a first for the country by travelling to space.”

The nation already has a private agreement with Houston’s Axiom Space, which organises and administers private spaceflights aboard American spacecraft for researchers and tourists. The agreement was signed earlier this year.

Prince Sultan bin Salman, the first Arab, the first Muslim, and the first member of a royal family to visit space, was Saudi Arabia’s first astronaut to enter orbit in 1985.

The Saudi Space Commission was established in December 2018 as a component of the nation’s modernization effort known as Vision 2030.
