Russian President shows praise for India; Know More

(The Quiver): Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, was once more all praise for India, praising its “talented” and “driven” people and their immense potential to produce remarkable development outcomes.

On the bright occasion of Russia Unity Day, Putin was optimistic about the possibilities of India’s billion-person population, a long-time ally of Moscow.

“In terms of its development, India will undoubtedly attain amazing outcomes. There are no questions. Almost 1.5 billion individuals, as well. I see promise there.” The Russian President said.

In the middle of the conflict in Ukraine, Putin made these comments prior to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar’s trip to Moscow the next week. From November 7–8, Jaishankar will travel to Russia for two days and meet with Sergey Lavrov, the country’s foreign minister.

In order to discuss matters relevant to bilateral economic cooperation, the Indian Foreign Minister will also meet with Denis Manturov who is the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade and Industry.

India has had a long history of working with Russia, which has long served as a cornerstone of New Delhi’s foreign policy.

Earlier, Russia become India’s largest supplier of crude oil in the month of October.
