Noted Actor Sunil Shende passes away at 75

(The Quiver): Veteran actor Sunil Shende, well-known for his work in films and television programmes including Circus, Shanti, and Sarfarosh, passed away on Monday in Mumbai.

He passed away at his home in Vile Parle at one in the morning yesterday, and his body was cremated today afternoon at the Parshiwada Hindu Crematorium.

He was survived by his wife Jyoti and two sons Omkar and Rishikesh.

Sunil worked in a variety of genres of movies and TV shows during the course of a more than 30-year career. In movies like Gandhi, Khal Nayak, Ghayaal, Ziddi, Daud, Magan, he played major supporting parts.

He played one of his most enduring roles in the Aamir Khan starring film called Sarfarosh, where he played a deputy commissioner of police.

Additionally, he made guest appearances on a number of well-known TV series, such as Shanti, which propelled Mandira Bedi to fame. He played a significant part in the 1989 television production Circus, in which Shah Rukh Khan played a role before announcing his arrival into Bollywood.
